Synopsis

I got nostalgic for some of the legendary old school modules. So I decided to delve back into AD&D (instead of basic D&D) and run B3; The Palace of the Silver Princess for my players. It has been a LONG time since most of them played AD&D, if at all, so there were a few surprises and even a character death or two. Oh those were simpler times…

Ended up being a three session game to get through the major parts and in the end, the party defeated various funky old creatures and getting the goal of the module; a big stolen ruby.

This ended up being an interesting comparison of the ‘old way’ of running a D&D game vs. the structured beast D&D has become. I thin everyone would agree, there were benefits and challenges to each.
